If a prospective adoptive family is interested in any of these children please call Laurie Bollinger (Ext. 18). We will then require preliminary information from the family to determine whether they will meet Indian, Love Basket, and USCIS requirements. If neither parent is of Asian Indian heritage, we require applicants have an active, Christian faith and will have them obtain a reference from their pastor/priest during the secondary application process. Before sending copies of the child's information, we generally want the family to complete our initial application and submit it with the requested, supplemental documentation and a check for our application fee of $95. If the family decides not to move forward, we will return this fee to them. These children are also being presented through other adoption avenues in the U.S., as well as the orphanage overseas. The assignment of a child to an adoptive family will require an approved home study be completed and sent to the orphanage director for preliminary approval. We will do our best to determine the child's availability, but cannot completely guarantee that the child will be officially matched with the adoptive family until we receive confirmation from the orphanage director and approval to have the family prepare their dossier.
