1. U.S. Infant Program- We welcome applications from families for our Domestic Program.  There is no infertility requirement, although we limit our list to 10% of the families not being infertile.  If you, or someone you know, has an interest in applying for the domestic program, please feel free to call Shirley Moore (Ext. 17) or Jo Laws, Domestic Adoption Supervisor, (Ext. 16) with any questions.  This program is completing numerous placements.

2.  International

 a.  Guatemala - Adoptions are on hold pending Guatemala's compliance with the Hague Convention.

 b.  India - Cases are processing in India, although children are becoming available for international adoption much more slowly than in the past.  Generally, children who are older and /or have special needs will be available for adoption.  Some courts in India require an infertility condition for at least one of the adoptive parents, and there are other parameters regarding length of marriage, age(s) of the adoptive parents, income, etc.

c.   Ukraine - The Ukraine government limits the number of dossiers they will accept each year for adoptive parents from the US who wish to adopt younger children.  That quota has already been met for 2008.  Dossiers can be prepared and made ready for submission in 2009.  However, there is no yearly limit for families wishing to adopt children 13 years and older or special needs children.

d.   Ethiopia- This program is currently on hold.

e.   Zambia-  This program is currently on hold.

Please call Laurie Bollinger, International Adoption Administrator (Ext. 18), or Lara Kelso (Ext. 14) for more information regarding any of our international programs.

The following statistical information is available upon request and includes:

  • The number of agency placements for the prior three calendar years
  • The number and percentage of placements from the last three years that are intact, disrupted or have been dissolved
  • Annual number of new client applications for prior three years
  • The number of children who are eligible for adoption and awaiting placement by the agency

A sample Adoption Services Contract, similar to the one you will be required to sign upon acceptance into an international program, is available for review through the link on our home page.

We pray the Lord's blessings on you as you seek the child or children that He has for you.  Please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns.
